Requirements

  • Construction, Accounting, or Engineering related degree or five (5) years of comparable experience
  • Proficiency in BuilderTend and Quickbooks reporting (A/R and A/P aging, P&L, balance sheet, over/under billing, and WIP).
  • Capable of independently conducting all account reconciliations.
  • Experience in forecasting and job costing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with Dropbox and Adobe (preferred).
  • Comfortable in social environments.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and within a team.
  • Strong customer service skills

Construction Project Manager with Estimating Experience (Georgia and Kentucky)

Typical & Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Keen eye for detail and strategic mindset in conducting pre-construction jobsite visits
  • Analytical prowess to develop precise (Gordian) cost estimates and material takeoffs based on plans, specs, or a detailed Scope of Work
  • Exceptional planning skills by preparing preliminary estimates and detailed itemized estimates, ensuring accurate project budgeting based on accurate reading of plans, specs, and contractual terms and conditions
  • Must develop strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors, enhancing collaboration and efficiency
  • Persuasive communication skills in creating and coordinating responses to RFP’s and RFQ’s
  • Negotiation prowess in organizing subcontractor quotations, ensuring alignment with contract documents, and issuing documented purchase orders
  • Capable of scheduling projects, tracking progress, identifying risks, and providing comprehensive documentation to onsite personnel
  • A solid understanding of general Government construction procedures and requirements is a must, Federal Government construction is a plus

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

f you have a track record of success in DoD construction projects, particularly in building, renovation, roofing, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, civil and utilities construction, this is the perfect role for you. Familiarity with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 Safety and Health Requirements is a big plus. Superintendent (Georgia and Kentucky)

Job Description

  • Follow the Project Managers’ project schedule and ensure we meet all project requirements as listed in the PM plans according to the scope of work represented.
  • Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, inspectors, and clients to complete each project on time
  • Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project
  • Ensure all safety requirements are met according to the state and federal guidelines
  • Communicate with the project manager and clients while supporting each subcontractor to execute his job duties effectively and efficiently
  • Perform inspections and schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job location
  • Maintain a written daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and problems resolved on the job site.
  • Travel between multiple job sites and simultaneously manage workloads of individual projects
  • Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organize meetings, and cooperate with team members in various roles as necessary.
  • Additional duties may be presented during the interview

Qualifications

  • Prior experience is mandatory; 5 years or more preferred
  • Commercial experience mandatory; Commercial Government preferred
  • Basic knowledge of software programs, such as Buildertrend, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to write reports and professional correspondence to inspectors and clients
  • Good reading comprehension of technical documents, such as safety regulations, assembly, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, especially when addressing clients or official visitors to the website.
  • Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to suggest solutions for deficiencies or problems.
  • Familiarity with the operation of office equipment, such as computers, copiers, and telephones
  • Ability to stand for several hours at a time and to walk in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground
  • Experience with managing demanding clients and offering creative solutions to meet commitments and requests
  • Capacity to physically lift up to 100 lbs
